The kind geniuses over at Northern Sound and Light recently got their mitts on a StudioLive 32.4.2AI and cranked out this great overview video. This is an excellent primer for anyone who is considering getting a new StudioLive AI digital mixer and would benefit from a quick feature rundown.
Big thanks to Northern Sound and Light for their support!
Here’s Travis Brockway, live sound engineer for Shane and Shane and Phil Wickham, recently brought the entire PreSonus Active Integration package on the road for the bands’ Christmas Tour. Here, he discusses his experience with the StudioLive AI mixers, and why they’re the right fit for small-to-medium sized churches.
Furthermore, he takes a look at the StudioLive AI speakers, and how they make for the best possible live performances—and how Capture 2, Studio One, and Nimbit make for effortless recording, editing and online distribution of performances and services.

How many of these reviews are we up to now, ten? In this one, AskAudio Magazine test drives the new Eris E8s, and in doing so compares them favorably to his long-time standbys from Genelec, which he claims to have been using for 15 years. By the way, the Eris E8s cost a lot less than comparable Genelec options.
Enthusiastic thanks and raised glasses to G.W. Childs IV of AskAudio for his kind words, which include:
“The Eris 8s are really phenomenal reference monitor, not only for the price, but just in regard to reference monitors, in general.”
John Mills takes us on a whirlwind tour of all things Active Integration at PreSonuSphere 2013.

Recording a guitarist with as signature a technique as Steve Dodds introduces some unusual recording quandaries. Fortunately for 5aint, his PreSonus AL 700, ADL 600, StudioLive digital mixer, and Studio One DAW provided everything he needed for the task at hand.
Dodds’ signature “guitabla” stylings are in high demand, as he has been a prolific session player and frequent collaborator with the likes of Steven Stills, Sarah McLachlan, Karen Eden, and more, having worked on projects with notable producers like David Kershenbaum, Jill Joes, Alan Moulder, and Martin Page. His more recent focus has been on his dynamic, genre-blending solo material.
Check out this first look at the StudioLive AI PA Loudspeakers from SonicSense! Thanks, guys!
