PreSonus Blog

… and breathe

It’s 18.30 in Germany and the news on 2.0 has pretty much hit round the world now. We just finished the first of three live webcasts, I’ve been fielding excited questions from stores and magazines all day, and I finally feel like I can breathe again. There’s another webcast at 21.00 German time, and I’ve (stupidly) agreed to hang out in the office until then and join in on that one too – I really don’t want to miss anything (well, I’ll miss dinner, but whatever…).

Responses by mail and on the forum has been extremely positive so far, which doesn’t really surprise me to be honest, I’ve been using this thing since June already, and I know just how awesome it is, but it’s still very gratifying to see that other people love it too. Unfortunately our servers are getting hammered with people wanting to upgrade or download the demo. No matter how much we increase our server capacity, we still get taken by surprise 🙂

So now to relax a little and sit back before the next show…

  • Like the modern look. I were pleased with this article. Appreciation for your nice blog.

  • Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is magnificent blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be back.

  • Thanks for another magnificent post. The place else may just anyone get that kind of information in such a perfect method of writing? I’ve a presentation next week, and I am at the look for such info.

  • Really neat article.

  • Appreciate your article post.Truly thank you! Really Cool.

Was going to upgrade to the V1Pro by the end of the month (V1Artist came with my new 24.4.2 mixer) for the price of 99.00 USD.
Heard about V2 so waiting, saw the live show now doubley hooked to now upgrade to v2Pro. But now that I have waited the update from V1Artist to V2Pro is 299.USD.
If I would have updated before the show then updated to V2Pro it would be just another 99.USD.
    Another 100.USD for waiting.

Where do I start? Kinda new to DAWS, but own Ableton Intro & Cubase Essential 5 asprelude to moving to Big Brother. Just about settled on Cubase 6 when I gave Studio One a look. Wow! Frustration since Pro 2 trial apparently is empty…no clips, files, or anything. I’m still prepared to buy Producer via download, as import duties and taxes on software into Jamaica are ruinous.

Big Question. What is the size of the download? I would hate to buy Producer to discover that it’s crippled or feeble because it’s a download version. That’s my sole concern. The deal is done if Producer download is the same as the boxed version

  • Well it’s 21.10 here (in Germany too!) Just looked through all the features. Can’t wait to upgrade from my One Pro to 2. Though I’m new to producing, Studio One is helping me make the transition from DJ to Producer darn near effortless. This DAW rocks. Big thanks from me and other new to the craft!

I just wanna say. WOW. I am so so excited. I watched closely the development of this software and must admit when i first used Studio One 1.6 and did a remix with it i got hooked. But now you convinced me to switch completely because you now offer what I was looking for ages to find in the DAWs I have used to date.

Thanks for that and you have created another happy switcher.

  • Hi guys the Studio One v2 is amazing. I can’t wait to get home and give it a try.
all the best from a big fan of your product.
