Free PreSonus Mixing Classes and More at #InfoComm, Las Vegas through Friday

How utterly proper that the tech industry heads down to Las Vegas in early summer to share their hottest news. See, the InfoComm show is to all things A/V what NAMM is to music. It’s not just about PA speakers and mixers, there are 3D 4K HD TVs, weird new computers, and nary a stringed instrument in sight around here.

So, what the heck are we doing here, anyhow? A lot. The reason we fit in at InfoComm this year—even better than years past—is because we’re stepping up our live sound game in a major way—more on that later. But in the meantime, the best way to answer this question is to click here for your free ticket, and then come and join us. Here’s what we have going on, and where to find it.

First of all, Doug Gould of WorshipMD will be giving FREE mixing instructions at The Technologies for Worship Pavilion, booth C4846. Doug has been a good friend to PreSonus for some time now, and his videos are among the most-watched on our YouTube channel. Come learn a thing or two from the man in person! Doug presents at the following times:

  • Wednesday: 10 am, 1 pm, 3 pm
  • Thursday: 10 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 3 pm
  • Friday: 10 am, 1 pm

You can get the details on all of the new members of the PreSonus fam first-hand in our Demo Room, N104. Here’s a schedule:

  • Tuesday: 12 pm (Rehearse), 2 pm (Rehearse), 4 pm (Rep/Distributor Meeting)
  • Wednesday: 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm
  • Thursday : 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm
  • Friday: 12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm

That’s right! We’re offering FREE TICKETS to anyone who wants to attend the InfoComm show in La$ Vega$. For flights and hotel, you’re on your own. All you have to do is click here to get your ticket.

The InfoComm exhibition, June 18-20, is where A/V manufacturers from the world over all converge on the strip, and bring their latest and greatest. It’s where new products get announced and incredible new technologies are showcased. It’s not quite as loud as NAMM, but there is a constant clattering din produced by 30,000 jaws hitting the ground at once when folks get a look at some new curved 3D television or food replicator.

We’ve got something brewing for InfoComm ourselves, BTW. Stay tuned to our website and social profiles, or just take us up on the offer and come visit us in person at booth C11341.

New Coverage from Musikmesse 2014! (VIDEO)

This just in from the globetrotting portion of our crew that spent some quality time at Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany, last week. We saw a lot of old friends, shook the hands of new friends, and shot some admittedly shakey-cam videos. But hey, that’s “from the trenches,” right? it’s just like being there!

Featured in this trifecta of Cinéma vérité are the Monitor Station V2, the Music Creation Suite, the Sceptre monitors, and—perhaps most important—our incredible #GetYourHooksIn contest. Click around the video below to get all the details.

We apologize in advance for the poor audio quality.

Photos from ExpoMusic in Brazil

This just in from Augusto of Quanta Music in Brazil! They just wrapped up the ExpoMusic show there. Augusto reports that it was a “total success!”

ExpoMusic is the largest music fair in Latin America; manufacturers and artists from all over the world arrive to show off their latest and greatest for five days! We’re glad to be a part of it, of course—big thanks are due to Quanta for making it all happen.

Sama ProSound at KOBA 2013!

[This just in from Serin at Sama ProSound, our distributor in Korea. Serin and his crew recently had a very successful appearance at KOBA 2013, the 23rd Korea International Broadcast, Audio & Lighting Equipment Show. Over 43,000 people attended! Here’s the official word form the man himself.]

Hello, PreSonus, this is Serin!

The KOBA exhibition is Korea’s biggest audio fair. Established in 1991, the show’s all about audio, light, and products for broadcast as well. This year’s show ran from May 13th to May 16th with  42,459 visitors.

People were very excited about the new PreSonus products, especially the Eris studio monitors. We connected various monitors via the Central Station Plus so attendees could check out all the sounds we prepared through various monitors. The StudioLive 16.4.2 was also used as the main console at the small stage where our musicians performed.

Obviously, MayTree showed up, and nailed their fabulous performance with the help of their StudioLive 16.0.2!

Regards,
Serin Hong

We’re honored. It’s nice to be noticed. 🙂

PreSonus is Proud to Sponsor Deli Mag’s StompBox Exhibit in Austin at SXSW!

[Headed to Austin for SXSW? We know your feet will be tired from pounding Austin’s hot concrete, but while you’re there, be sure to tread on over to The Deli Magazine’s StompBox Exhibit! Myraid stomps from good ol’ BOSS standbys to whacked-out Pigtronix weirdness will be equally represented by PreSonus headphone amplifiers. More info on the footacular stompstravaganza is copy/pasted from their press release below. Call it “journalism.”]

WHAT: StompBox Exhibit
WHEN: March 15-16, 2013
WHERE: Clayworks Gallery, 1209 E 6th St, Austin
AUSTIN, TX – After launching the “StompBox Exhibit” concept in 2011 – i.e. a compact display of guitar pedals which allows visitors to test and compare them in the headphones – and after the successes of the 2012 edition at Main Drag Music in Brooklyn – which saw 23 manufacturers and 5 sponsors involved – The Deli Magazine and Delicious Audio are presenting the first edition of the Austin StompBox Exhibit.
200+ Pedals in the “Live Music Capital of the World”

This free, interactive, in-the-headphones display of guitar pedals will coincide with the busiest days of the famous live music festival hosted by the Texan city every March. It’s scheduled for Friday and Saturday March 15 and 16 in a room facing Austin’s most frequented stroll: East 6th Street, in the middle of Austin’s East Side (the city’s “hipstery” neighborhood a few blocks East of downtown).

The exhibit will attract thousand of pro and semi-pro guitarists who will flood the Texas capital in search of gigs and exposure during the biggest live music event in the US. Musicians are invited to bring their own guitars and plug them in directly into the pedals (there will be demo guitars available). They will be able to test the pedals directly via headphones, which will be plugged into an amp emulation unit and a PreSonus headphone amp.

Sponsors and Participating Manufacturers

Headphones will be provided once again by Shure, amp emulation by Line6, pedal boards by PedalTrain, headphone preamps by PreSonus, Guitars by Reverend, cables by Planet Waves, guitar strings by D’Addario, and pedal power adapters by Visual Sound. Guitar accessories by Oknob will also be present.

MI7 and PreSonus at Inter BEE 2012!

[This just in from MI7, our distributors in Japan!]

We exhibited at Inter BEE 2012. Recognized as a professional show for audio, video and communications, Inter BEE has established itself as an international exhibition showcasing top-level domestic and overseas broadcast, video, audio and lighting equipment as well as peripheral applications and solutions all under one roof.

We displayed two sections for music production solutions: medium-format live solution and small-format live solution. StudioLive and Studio One was most popular! The visitors enjoyed the sound and hands-on experience. We obtained approximately 700 leads! I attached some photo for your reference. Thank you for your support.

WFX Photo Gallery From The Trenches

So, I wasn’t invited to attend WFX Atlanta 2012 myself. And you see what happens? Instead of my really nice photos, we have all these shaky-cam 2.3 megapixel cell-phone camera shots. But, hey, that’s more “street,” right? They are more “authentic,” yes? In some schools of thought, “authenticity” is what happens when people don’t read manuals.

I kid, mostly. It’s OK, I didn’t want to be packed in a crate again anyhow.  The show was Grrrreaat!
